Special Meeting Minutes
May 25, 2005

Attendees: Mayor Camille Mills, Commissioners Don McGehee, Jerry Earney, Doug Edwards, Treasurer Sherry Tyler, Attorney John Singler, and Tim McNally from Waste Management also attended the meeting.
Special Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. at 2907 Cambridge Road and the following items were discussed:

Minutes: Camille made motion to approve April Minutes and Jerry seconded. Motion unanimously approved.

Sanitation: Open discussion. Camille made motion to contract for two years with Waste Management for $1,393.60 plus recycling at the condominiums at 48.30 for a total of $1,441.90 per month. Jerry seconded the motion and the motion was unanimously passed. Danny Amilin is the new district manager for WM and Tim McNally continues as our primary contact. Doug will write letters to all parties who bid for our contract.

Treasurer’s Report: Review and approve City’s monthly financial records. Jerry made motion to approve Treasurer’s report, Camille seconded and the motion was unanimously passed.

2005-2006 Ordinance Discussions
Doug made motion to perform first reading of City of Cambridge Ordinance 1, Series 2005-2006, an ordinance relating to the adoption of an annual budget for the City of Cambridge. Jerry seconded and the motion was unanimously passed.
Camille made motion to perform the first reading of City of Cambridge Ordinance 2, Series 2005-2006, an ordinance providing for the assessment of an ad valorem tax. Doug seconded the motion and was unanimously passed.
John performed the second reading of City of Cambridge Ordinance 3 to regulate telecommunication within the City’s right of way. Jerry made motion to approve the Ordinance, Don seconded and the motion was unanimous passed.

Camille made motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:52 p.m. Don seconded the motion.

Next meeting is scheduled for June 21, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
