MEETING MINUTES JUNE 21, 2005

City of Cambridge Meeting Minutes June 21, 2005

Meeting called to order at 7:20 p.m.

Attendees: Mayor Camille Mills, Commissioners Don McGehee, Herman Amshoff, Treasurer Sherry Tyler, and Attorney John Singler.

• Minutes: Motion to approve May minutes made by Camille and seconded by Don. Motion unanimously approved.

• Treasurer’s Report: Motion to approve made by Camille and seconded by Don. Motion unanimously approved. Sherry reported the tax bills have been received and will be mailed this week.

• Roads, Street Lights, Signs: Opened meeting up to public to discuss road fund expenditures. No public attended and discussion was closed.
o Camille needs copy of letter from Firehouse for City files.
o Status of calls to Birch Trautwein & Mims and Transportation Cabinet

• Police, Fire & Traffic: No discussion.

• Planning: No discussion.

• Resident Issues:
 Status for 4207 Taylorsville Road – owned by S&T Properties P.O. Box 436202 Lou. KY 40253. Property is being cleaned up. Item closed.

 Empty field behind the Cambridge Road Properties – Majority of tree has been removed and high weeds have been mowed. Item closed.

 New Issues: None.

 Ordinance:
○ Performed second reading by summary of City of Cambridge Ordinance 1, Series 2005-2006, an ordinance relating to the adoption of an annual budget for the City of Cambridge. Camille made motion to adopt Ordinance 1, Herman seconded and the motion was unanimously approved.
○ Performed second reading by summary of City of Cambridge Ordinance 2, Series 2005-2006, an ordinance providing for the assessment of an ad valorem tax. Camille made motion to adopt Ordinance 2, Herman seconded and the motion was unanimously approved.

• Pending City Items:
o Grant for codification of ordinances – Larry Barnett new contact. City of Cambridge has been notified that we will receive the grant. Reviewed next step paperwork and letters to be sent to American Legal.

Motion made by Camille to adjourn meeting. Motion seconded by Herman.
Meeting Adjourned at 7:45 p.m. Next meeting scheduled for July 19th.
