California Heights - Help Make It A Better Place to Live

CALIFORNIA HEIGHTS NEEDS YOU !

A big thanks to those who have already returned their completed volunteer forms. We are compiling names and preparing for a productive year. For those of you that would like to participate, but who have not yet had a chance to respond, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are looking for people to volunteer on the various committees that help to make California Heights a better place to live and that help preserve our historic neighborhood. Join in to share your ideas, your concerns and your vision for our community. Take a look at the committee descriptions below and choose those that you can assist with. A few hours throughout the year do make a difference.

CAL HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION COMMITTEES

HOME TOUR
Meets various times throughout the year to plan and strategize for the annual home tour. Smaller groups are formed at the initial planning meeting. Docents are needed for this year’s Home Tour.

LIBRARY PROJECT
Meets to plan the annual Holiday Story time at the Dana Branch Library. Past project included the “Planting Day” in the Summer of 2000. Upcoming projects include the revitalization of the children’s library. Input for other ideas are being accepted.

NEWSLETTER CONTRIBUTOR
Writes articles about the neighborhood or community; reviews local restaurants; contributes articles of interest to the community. The Heights newsletter is published every two months.

NEWSLETTER DISTRIBUTION
Helps distribute the California Heights Neighborhood News, The Heights newsletter, door-to-door in the neighborhood. The newsletter is published every two months.

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER
Helps the Bixby Revitalization group with Snow in Bixby Knolls, After 5 and other community events.

GENERAL VOLUNTEER
Can be called upon at any time to assist for various projects throughout the year. Tell us how much time you can donate.

COMMITTEE MEMBER
Typically meets once a month on the first Wednesday. Committee members help shape ad guide the organization.
