CHARACTER COUNTS!SM in Montgomery County

Think a child is in crisis? Don't call CPS. Oh, they might investigate. They'll probably sign family up for services. But that's all. There's an entire family in this community that has been thru the system-using our tax money like crazy-for YEARS!!!! You could visit one of these family members today & guess what! They're sitting back, takin' it easy, while you're out working! You can even turn them in for welfare fraud-nothing! They repeatedly get arrested-nothing! Why? Becuase they're all poor, single mothers. State doesn't want their kids. They can't take care of them-so we have to!

I know what you are talking about! I know families that are drug users and they have children around it! They keep letting family members out of jail, but they keep reoffending! These kids are going to end up just like their relatives and CPS won't do a darn thing about it! They are supposed to be advocates for children, but they fail!

Don't try reporting welfare fraud either-you'll get no where. The family I was talking about moves between two counties. Pretty sad. We taxpayers get to pay for them to sit & do nothing! CPS & OFC dwell on ''Family Preservation.'' What about ''Child Preservation.''? Children are supposed to be our future-this community is in for a heck of a surprise in a few years!
