SAVE BUCKMAN POOL!!!

Save our Pool!

Buckman Pool has been closed for lack of maintenance funds. Meanwhile the Parks Levy, which the city had promised to use to keep Buckman pool opened, has been used to build a new pool at east Portland Community Center and to fund a complete remodel of Wilson High School Pool, including a 6-lane lap pool, a leisure pool with current channel and vortex and play features and solar water heating.

The city needs to make a similar investment in the Inner East Side. Until the city can find the funds to build a community center for the Inner South East, Buckman pool is all that we have.

Please send an e-mail to the Mayor, City Councilman and Commissioners and Parks Director asking them to step up to the plate.
