Committee Reorgs

The Committee met on July 19th and welcomed a new Member Chris Connolly. Chris is replacing Ted Langill who has moved onto the Finance Committee. We wish Ted good luck, we know he'll be a valuable asset to that committee.
During our meeting the committee reorganized and new officers were elected for the upcoming year. See the new line up below.

Status of the DPW proposal

The DPW proposal was passed almost unanimously by Town Meeting in May 2001. The next step is a review and acceptance by the State Legislature. The House of Representatives, Local Affairs committee is discussing the proposal and a hearing will be scheduled shortly. If the House and the Senate vote to pass this proposal, it will be put before the residents hopefully at the next annual election in April 2002. Stay Tuned for further updates.
