Bluff Creek Neighborhood Association

  I don't know about the front entrances to Bluff Creek, but the back end of Bluff Creek neighborhood has been hit by thieves this year.  Several break-in's even while someone was home and personally we have had both of our cars broken into, mostly electronic equipment stolen.  So, unless your card has an alarm system in it where the alarm goes off when the windows are broken out, we have decided as well as others, that to keep everything out of our cars if not parked in the garage (including garage door openers) and not to lock the doors, then we won't have to bear the expense of replacing everything under our deductible.  My car was accidentaly left unlocked.  They did not break the windows, they just , took what they wanted and left.  My husband's car was  locked, and it was a major ordeal getting windows replaced and cleaning up all the glass everyhere, they took some of his work supplies plus they took the garage door opener which entailed getting a new one and setting up a new code with the company.  We haven't had this happen in years, plus we do have a Security System in our home.  Just a warning to anyone who might be interested. 

The back end of the neighborhood has always been a problem.  I really wish the folks would get involved again with the Neighborhood Watch Patrol.  I know that we are all busy and usually have better things to do.  We just have to vigilant and try to keep our neighborhood crime free as much as possible.  My Elcamino was wrecked in front of our house on 112th st. and then a few months later it was stolen during the night.

I wonder how many folks are willing to take on the patrol again?  It worked very well back in the late 80's early 90's but as usual it takes someone to coordinate it.  From past experience it is a deterent.
