Obituary of Carolyn Denise McCandlish

Carolyn Denise Brown McCandlish, 83, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Friday June 12, 2020 in the loving arms of her son. Born October 5, 1936, in Dunbar, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Louis Clark Brown and Virginia Brown Sayers. Carolyn received her Master’s Degree in Business and went on to work with Wachovia until her retirement in 2005. She started Wachovia’s expansion into the Mortgage Banking industry in 1964 - the year her son was born. She was the former President of the NBAC as well as a former member and President of the NC Real Estate Licensing Commission. Carolyn was certainly a Pioneer. In addition to her work, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her loving son, John Clay McClandlish; 

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James E.  McClandlish. 

A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held at a later date.
