Sad Situation

Posted in: Woodlake-San Antonio
This weekend, as usual we were working in the yard and over Sat. and Sun. spoke with 5 of our neighbors. Every one of them stated how horrible our neighborhood has gotten over the past 5 years. 4 of the 5 have stated that they just don't believe that they can stand living here anymore but know that they will get next to nothing for their houses when they sell. We have only lived on Oak Lake for 5 years but the neighbors that we spoke with raised their children here and it is very sad. 2 days ago, a car radio was stolen, Fri. night many of the mail boxes were vandalized, the booming cars stream through the streets at all hours, many yards are hideous, any entry into the subdivision look awful and there is nothing that anyone can do. It is all very sad.

Let's take action and not be sad

Hi Toni: Within the next week you should be receiving the March issue of the Woodlake Homeowner's Assoc. newsletter. Please read it and talk to your neighbors about what WE can do to stop the decline in the neighborhood. We, the residents, have to be pro-active about doing something to turn the tide. Come to the next general meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 9th at 7p.m. at the Woodlake Baptist Church. Take care and take action.
Sincerly, Mike Warneke
President-Woodlake Homeowners Assoc.
