Illegal conversions of homes in our area tend to weaken the image of our neighborhood. We believe we can discourage such conversions by targeting properties for emergency inspections by the City's housing agency. One such home has been clearly identified and reported.

Other properties in Beverley Square West, however, may be illegally converted, and if you have reason to believe that this is so on your street, I'd appreciate your calling me at 693-5706 so that we may investigate further. Here are possible problem areas:

Multiple doorbells, mailboxes and/or utility meters
Number of people coming and going
Cars parked on the property on a daily basis
Signs of commercial activity
Apartment in basement or third floor, etc.
