I AM WRITING THIS LETTER TO INFORM THE MEMBERS OF YOUR PRESTIGIOUS CIVIC ASSOCIATION OF THE TERRIBLE INJUSTICES CURRENTLY BEING SUFFERED BY RENTERS IN THE SOUTHERN MANAGEMENT CORPORATION,NOB HILL APARTMENT COMPLEX LOCATED AT 9120 PINEY BRANCH ROAD,SILVER SPRING,MARYLAND 20903.
IT HAS BEEN MY MISFORTUNE TO HAVE RENTED A SUB-STANDARD APARTMENT UNIT WHICH IS A 1 BEDROOM WITH A DEN AT $1010 PER MONTH WITH CONTINUOUS VIOLATIONS.
1.OVERCROWDING
2.USE OF PARKING LOT BY COMMERCIAL AND COMPANY TRUCKS,VEHICLES BEING PARKED FOR LONGER THAN 72 HOURS OCCUPYING MUCH NEEDED PARKING SPACES FOR THE RESIDENTS AND OR THEIR VISITORS.
3.USE OF PRIVATE SECURITY FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN PROVIDING SECURITY,[INTIMIDATION]
4.PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT AND REPAIRS TO SELECT BUILDINGS[INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR] OF THE APARTMENT COMPLEX.
5.DENIAL OF PAYMENT OF BACK RENT THROUGH REPUTABLE COUNTY AGENCIES.
6.SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT OF RENTERS POLICY REQUIREMENTS REGARDING USE OF BARBECUE GRILLS,AND NON PATIO FURNITURE,STORAGE ON BALCONIES.
7.WE HAVE A VERY BAD RAT,ROACH,MICE INFESTATION IN AND AROUND THE COMPLEX.
8.SOME TENANTS HAVE MORE THAN ONE PET.WHICH IS A VIOLATION OF THE LEASE
9.PEOPLE ARE GETTING SHOT AND/OR ROBBED I AND AROUND THE COMPLEX.
10.LOUD MUSIC BEING PLAYED AT ALL TIMES OF THE NIGHT.
11.NON-RESIDENTS THAT OCCUPY PARKING SPACES THAT DO NOT LIVE IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND BUT THEIR CAR HAS WASHINGTON,D.C.,VIRGINIA TAGS AND REGISTRATION OCCUPYING MUCH NEEDED PARKING SPACES.
12.THE WINDOWS ARE SUBSTANDARD BECAUSE THEY LEAK AIR IN THE WINTER WHICH CAUSES A VERY HIGH HEATING BILL,THE APARTMENTS ARE NOT INSULATED PROPERLY THE WINDOWS ARE NOT BEING CAULKED.
13.FIX ALL THE APARTMENTS INSIDE OF NOB HILL AND NOT JUST A CERTAIN SIDE OF THE COMPLEX
14.BETTER SECURITY MEASURES FOR RESIDENTS NO MORE SHOOTINGS OR ROBBERIES
15.TENANTS ARE NOT CLEANING UP THEIR OWN APARTMENTS.SOME HAVE STUFF,JUNK,CLOTHING,PAPERS,PILLED UP IN AND AROUND THEIR APARTMENTS FROM 8 YEARS AGO.
16.THE WASHERS AND THE DRYERS IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM ARE RIPPING THE TENANTS OFF AND IT TAKES A WEEK FOR US TO GET OUR MONEY BACK.
17.THE FUSE BOXES NEED TO BE UPDATED WITH CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND THE ELECTRICAL WIRING NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT THROUGHLY.
18.THE CABINETS NEEDED TO BE TAKEN DOWN BECAUSE THEY ARE ROACH,MICE,RAT INFESTED AND NEED TO UPDATED WITH NEW ONES
19.HOLES,CRACKS,ETC. NEED TO BE SEAL OFF IN ORDER TO STOP THE RATS,MICE,ROACHES FROM APARTMENT JUMPING.
20.MANAGEMENT AND CORPORATE OFFICE ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL,RUDE,UNSYMPATHETIC,UNCARING AND UNFRIENDLY TO THE TENANTS NEEDS AND/OR CONCERNS.
21.THERE ARE A LOT OF UNJUSTIFIED EVICTIONS THAT GO ON INSIDE THIS COMPLEX.
22.THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX HAS THE LOWEST RANKINGS ON EVERY APARTMENT WEBSITE THERE IS.
23..REGARDLESS OF THE VIOLATIONS THERE ARE OTHER THINGS THAT ARE WRONG,AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS STILL REFUSING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT AFTER RECEIVING COMPLAINTS FROM MYSELF AS WELL AS OTHER TENANTS.
24.MAINTENANCE STAFF IS STEALING FROM THE TENANTS WHEN THE TENANTS ARE NOT HOME AND THEY DO THIS ON REPAIR JOB THAT REQUIRE THEM TO ENTER YOUR APARTMENT.
25.THE THERMOSTATS HAVE MERCURY IN THEM WHICH IS HEALTH HAZARD
