Volunteers...

Want to help with the Rugby team?

There are lots of important and fun tasks that need to be accomplished so that we can have a successful season.

We will need volunteers for everything from driving to games, to finding donations for the tin can auction.

We have one volunteer for the food effort, Mrs. Horgan has volunteered to help with food for the girls team. She is an experienced team parent, and can give direction to any parents interested in helping with the food effort for the boys team.
Contact Mrs. Horgan at PatHorgan16@hotmaol.com .

The after game feeding frenzy is an important rugby tradition that takes place worldwide. It builds bonds between the teams, and is a wonderful sign of good sportsmanship. The parents who volunteer for this position do not have to be present at every home game, they merely have to organize those who will set up each home game. If you would like to volunteer for the boys team, or if you want to volunteer your time for a particular home game, please email PatHorgan16@hotmaol.com .

Driving coordinator and Banquet organizer...

Sharon Barrett-Gmyrek has volunteered to coordinate this effort for the girls team.
Now we are looking for a volunteer from the boys team to coordinate the volunteer drivers for each away game.

When it comes time to organize for a game, the coordinator will merely need to contact enough parents to provide car space for the players. Once the schedules are announced directions to each game will be provided...
Please email bhsrugby@comcast.net if you are interested in helping out with the boys team.

Sharon Barrett Gmyrek has volunteered to help organize the banquet at the Commonwealth Club. Please email BHSRUGBY@COMCAST.NET if you would like to provide assistance.

Thinking ahead...

Currently the entirety of the organizing experience on the Rugby team lies with parents of ruggers who are seniors. As we have seen already this year, transitions can be difficult, and are eased only by experience. To help ensure that future years are not quite as challenging, we are looking for parents of some younger ruggers to step forward and learn a bit about the process, so that next year's ruggers and parents do not face an uphill battle in organizing. Remember, Rugby is not a varsity sport, so all of the work that is done to put the team together is done by parents, coaches, and ruggers. Your support is essential, without parent assitance, the team will cease to exist next season. Please email bhsrugby@comcast.net or call Sue White at (248) 541-2973 if you are interested.
