City of Bellemeade

I don't believe enough careful consideration has been given to the Bellemeade Residents and Homeowners that will be directly affected by the installation of this sidewalk!  The Mayor and Commissioners have a duty to the citizens of Bellemeade...Not Council Ackerson.

Have the Commissioners and or Mayor contacted the residents along Shelbyville Rd to notify THEM of this plan?????  This discussion was NOT on the agenda and NOT brought up until the meeting was over.  I attended the meeting and wanted answers and NONE was given.  These residents deserve to know the Personal Liability that each of them face with the addition of a sidewalk in from of their home!  Just because UL wants it, and Council Ackerson is giving "Grant Money" towards it, doesn't release the liability that comes along with a sidewalk.

Come on people!  Get the opinion of the RESIDENTS/Homeowners!  door to door.

I know Mr Mayor has no problem walking up to residents and confronting them.  So get out there and do your job.

  WHY do we need more sidewalks???? The ones out there are rarely used ...same with the bicycle paths along Whipps Mill Rd.   HOORAY for more Neighborhood Watch signs. That is money well spent.

Where is the sidewalk going to be placed - between the access road and Shelbyville Road?  I heard or read at some point that it will only connect the UofL sidewalk to the access road and then run from the access road to the Moorgate entrance.  Which is correct?

I was told last night that it would be between the access road and shelbyville rd.  But, then tonight someone else told me what you said, only to connect the UL sidewalk to the access road.  STILL the Mayor is silent and Council Jon Ackerson is moving forward with installing it and the residents Are NOT Informed!    I saw a plan last night that has a sidewalk planned all the way...to whipps mill. 

The Silence Speaks Volumes!!!! 

I guess I'm gonna go knock on doors and ask the homeowners their opinions.
