I have been away from the Internet for the past three days. I was in Cloverport on the Ohio & Clover Rivers. This morning the air temperature was 7 above at the boat ramp. We had to break ice to get the boat on the river. When it's cold like this the river takes on a totally different carictor. Other than barges we saw only one other boat.
I see in the Friday January 18th Courier-Journal that Jerry Abramson gave his State-of-the-City address.
The paper reports that Jerry (Mayor for life) stressed two key issues, completing your education & ''Going Green''. Both worthy goals.
Mayor Abramson also urged people to become involved with local government. He quotes Louis Brandise who said ''The most important public office is the office of privet citizen''. They both want each of us involved in local politics.
Thats why I started going to this website.
