Thanks for the kind words, Bucman. As any parties are not to be paid for out of the resident's dues the money will have to come from somewhere else. I know I had a line item put into the budget for parties but it is not to be as it was a mistake. Sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going it gets so busy with everything I'm trying to keep up with. I've been wanting a party with a D.J. and varied music of all kinds for all the residents. Maybe a Friday evening get together party with lights, food, drinks and dancing. Something for a cool evening, not a hot day.

But, we first need to figure out how best to get the money for these parties. Donations from residents and local businesses keep coming to mind. I'm not into raffles so much but I do like a 50/50 raffle now and then. If enough prizes were donated that would work too. First, we need a chairperson who wants to head this and get things going. A date needs to be set and goals set. Who can we get to do this?

As for the blow ups causing grief for the common area grass, I think the grass recovers. Have you looked lately? I think it is okay. Let's get the word out!

As for the common area grass looking bad, I met and spoke with our new irrigation company the other day. Ken was explaining to me that the rain sensor was not installed correctly and whenever the common area rotors would turn on, they would soak the sensor and shut off the system. Now, isn't that a hell of a note. This has been going on since it was installed and no one caught it. I guess it took a professional to do it. On top of all this he said there was 17 heads that he was in the middle of replacing that were torn up or broken.

Now that we have a professional irrigation company on the job we should start to see a better looking common area for our dues.

This new company will make quarterly inspection and repairs but if anyone notices any fountains shooing up in the air when the system is on, just let me or someone know about it. Call West Coast Realty, our property management company at 813-908-0766 and let them know. They will send Ken or his crew out to fix it. We need to stay on top of this stuff now.

Hah, come to the meetings to find out. What a lame statement for anyone to make, eh.  I was thinking with this nice weather, in between the rain here and there, maybe two weeks from now would make a nice Saturday for a yard sale. What do you think? Does anyone have a weather forecast that far ahead to know?

We had our yard sale last year on May 8th. In researching the weather on www.almanac.com it shows March to be the most favorable month with less chance of rain compared to February. See my copy and paste below:

FEBRUARY 2011: temperature 62.5 ° (1.5 ° above avg.); precipitation 6.5" (4" above avg.); Feb 1-10: Scattered t-storms north, sunny south; warm; Feb 11-14: Heavy t-storms, then sunny, cool; Feb 15-19: Heavy rain, then sunny, cool; Feb 20-25: Showers, turning warm; Feb 26-28: T-storms, then sunny, cool.

MARCH 2011: temperature 66 ° (1 ° below avg.); precipitation 3" (1" below avg. north, 1" above south); Mar 1-2: Sunny, cool; Mar 3-11: Occasional rain, seasonable; Mar 12-16: Sunny, warm; Mar 17-27: Showers, then sunny, cool; Mar 28-31: Rain, cool.

March 5th is the first Saturday, what do you think about then? This gives a month to plan it.
