Photography is my first hobby and computers might be my second. Although I am tiring of computer problems I never get tired of taking pictures. I love shooting sunsets and flowers. I'd like to post some photos here to share with you all here in the future. I'd like to see some of your's also. It's fun so why not.
I have a pc and an iMac. I also have Verizon's FIOS for internet and tv. The network is fast but my pc is slow due to all the programs running in the background. I have learned that I have to have an antivirus program running as I've gotten viruses in the past that have caused problems. I've tested quite a few and the one I most recommend now is AVG 7.5 from www.grisoft.com. This latest version has everything needed all in one program I have found. Check out their website and read about it. I have also became a reseller of their product and can get anyone a 15% discount. I'd love to give you a demonstration and help you with any virus infection problems you might have. If your computer has become sluggish lately, you have malware stuck on your computer's hard drive. It could be a virus also. Email if you'd like to get together or just want to discuss the matter. I like to help others. I'm done, it's your turn now. Bye.

Orchid growing

Is anyone into orchids? I love them and have a few with blooms at the moment. One that I have has had blooms for going on three months now. I find it unbelievable how long these plants can hang onto their blooms. I have heard from everyone that I talk to that 'oh, aren't they hard to grow'? Not a bit. There is plenty of information on the web and it's not that hard. Only water once a week, fertilize every other week and you can find the ferilizer at Home Depot in a little container. Takes about a thimble full for a gallon of water. I use an iced tea pitcher to mix it up. Do not allow the roots to sit in water, a big no, no.
They are easy to separate and repot once you see the roots crawling out of the pot. I like to use clay pots also. You can buy a small bag of bark that they like to grow in at Home Depot too. If you want to start out you can buy a plant at Home Depot for anywhere from $14.95 for the small ones up to $29.95 for the larger plants. They always have blooms when you go to buy them. One other thing, in summer do not leave them in direct sunlight. A shady spot is best for indirect light. Bring them in in cold, cold nights or make sure they are kept warm during the coldest nights. These plants will surely give you years of joy. Just be patient at the start.
