Welcome to the web site of the "jewel" of South Tampa. Developed in the early part of the 20th Century, Beach Park, which is nestled on the shores of beautiful Tampa Bay, was once covered with acres of large, grand oak trees, and endless rows of swaying palm trees. It remains mostly that way today, thanks to the preservation efforts of its many residents, Beach Park Homeowners Association, the members of Tampa City Council and the Tampa/Hillsborough County Planning Commission.
As you walk or drive around Swann Circle Park, you will feel the breezes under the oak trees, palm trees and pine trees so familiar and special to us, just as they must have been to the earliest residents of Beach Park. One of the most unique qualities of Beach Park is that residents have worked to preserve its large lots, its hundred-year-old oak trees, and have not succumb to the pressures of encroaching commercialism. Many homes have been in existence since the beginning of the 1900's, and many resemble the majestic homes of the past but are actually brand new. These special qualities have caused land values in Beach Park to soar. New homes are being built to replace the smaller ranch style homes that were so popular in the 1950's. Ironically, many of the ranch style homes are among the most beautiful in South Tampa, which contributes to the interesting architectural tapestry that is Beach Park.
Beach Park is home to many walkers, joggers, bicyclists, dog-owners and gardeners - who all watch out for each other, work diligently to maintain their lawns and property, and respect each other's choice of exercise in the great outdoors. It is interesting to note that there is no commercial enterprise or commercial development anywhere within the boundaries of Beach Park. It has been and will continue to be our association's goal to maintain and preserve this exceptional quality of life.
