Our meeting are held every 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at the Azalea Baptist Church, 7900 22nd. Ave. North

Location

The Azalea Neighborhood is located in the western section of St. Petersburg. Just a stones throw from Tyrone Square Mall and Boca Ciega Bay, it is convenient to most of the amenities that draw people to St. Petersburg.

Points of Interest

Located just to the north of our boundary is Azalea Middle School, the Science Center of Pinellas County, and Tyrone Square Mall. The Pinellas Trail and its recreational opportunities form the eastern boundary of our neighborhood. Within our boundaries, one finds Azalea Elementary School, Gingerbread Daycare, and Admiral Farragut Academy. Businesses within our boundaries include part of Raytheon Industries, and several small shops, resturants and convenience stores.

The Jewel in our Crown

Our neighborhood is fortunate to also have as a main feature the Azalea Park and Recreation Center. Constantly abuzz with sports and recreation activities, the complex features baseball and soccer fields, and is also used for football, cheerleading and lacrosse practices. The rectangular park is surrounded by a well maintained sidewalk that is also used as a walking track. The Azalea Recreation Center features a newly expanded facility with programs for all ages and areas of interest from art to yoga, and beyond.

Azalea Neighborhood Association, Inc.

NOTE: NEW MEETING LOCATION:
Founded in 1952 and chartered in 1955, ours is one of St. Petersburg's oldest associations, with almost 900 homes from 5th Ave. N to 22nd Ave. N, and the Pinellas Trail to Russell Drive North. Meetings are the 2nd Thursday,at 7:00 PM, Azalea Baptist Church - 7900 22nd. Ave. North. Membership is open to all residents and property owners within the boundaries.

Membership in the Azalea Neighborhood Association, Inc., begins January 1st through December 31st with a membership cut-off date of October 31st. Nomination of new Officers and Executive Board due by the November meeting. Voting on the selected slate is done during the December meeting. With new Officers and Board members officially taken their positions January 1st. The Azalea Neighborhood Association, Inc., is a Florida Non-profit Corporation whose fiscal year runs from January 1st through December 31st.
