We got a letter from PEC advising us they will be doing work on the Power lines that will affect Circle C homes on Saturday morning.

I can't find the letter, but I think it said between 6am and noon.

That would be a good time to shutdown your computers. Power surges are hard on PCs and they will drain your backup batteries (UPS).

If you have a home network, this may also require you to reset your network devices, starting with your cable modem, then router, and the the PCs.

The other thing that may happen is that some smoke detectors and home alarm systems may need their batteries replaced (wired smoke detectors with batteries for backup may need fresh batties).

Resetting clocks is obvious - your cable box might need to be reset, too.
