I thought it would be interesting to know the orgins of the street names in Parkwest. Here is what I have found on the web so far. Tasajillo is a close relative of the prickly pear catcus.
Dalea is a plant genera of desert tropical plants.

I guess these are the meanings of the words used for the street names.

Foxglove

Foxglove = local plant with a white bloom. Used to extract the heart stimulant medication called Digitalis. It's a native plant to Europe, but it also found in the Southwest and Mexico - including Texas.

It looks a lot like a short white Gladiolus.

Thanks Will !

Cool info

Tasajillo also means very small pieces in Proper Spanish. So the cactus that it is is a very small one. This is really cool stuff. Anyone else know about their street?
