Posted in: Atlee Fields

Hey. I am 15 years old about too turn 16 in April. I have taken a course in babysitting at Children's Hospital. I know CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver. I can babysit for children of all ages but I'm espically good with 1-5 year olds. I have refrences if needed. Call (865)776-6177 or (865)687-2856. Thanks

Maggie!

Hi Maggie - do you still babysit?  We are new to the neighborhood & I have a little boy (20 months). We'd like to have an occasional sitter:)  Also, what is your rate - we just moved to TN, so I don't know what's customary here:)  Oh - we also have a dog, but he can be locked in the basement, if need be.

Hello Alissa,

My name is Marga Hinsley (1641 Meadow Chase) and I have a couple options for you, if you are still in the market for the occassional sitter. My son is 15 (16 in July) and has bbsat his niece, and the Rice's girls (1640 MC) with my daughter on occassion. I have 3 daughters; 13 (14 in Aug), 11, and 9. My 13 year old bbsits for her cousin and the Rices as well. My 11 yo and 9 yo would be good mothers' helpers - entertainers while you're home. All are good swimmers as well, and J.T. (son) is lifeguard certified if you would be interested in a "pool-buddy" sometime this summer. The Rices pay $2/kid/hour (my girls bbsit during their church small group while they are at home) ...but they are usually happy to get something...whatever you would like to do. Let them know if you need a pet/house sitter as well. I think we will be gone the 1st week of August and a couple days here and there - but pretty much here this summer. We homeschool so they are pretty flexible in their availability with a little advanced planning during the school year as well. I look forward to meeting you sometime.

Ps- just saw your post re the "fort" and don't think my kids go thru a gate (they usually hop our fence if they go to the back) - but would be very interested if you ever see them..... My son is trying to clear some area in the back of our house; and don't believe they have a fort back behind you - but always welcome input of others to keep the proverbial "eye in the back of my head" thing going on!
