One of the best ways to help make our neighborhoods friendly and pleasant is to be a member in the Neighborhood Association!. Athmar Park meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 6pm at the community church on the corner of Alaska and Tejon.
You can meet local law enforcement officers, find out how to report incidents, how to clean up grafitti, adopt a spot, meet the contacts for our city council and state legislator representatives, also have an input on zoning, school issues, traffic issues, animal issues and generally become educated about how all such things are approached, even when new businesses want to come into our area.
Help us, Help yourself, and then also join in with our annual picnic, the growing yard garden movements, yard sales and other activities that help us to get along.
