Community Meeting
We are sorry we missed many of you at our Annual Community Meeting last month. The members present agreed to increase dues by $15.00 to $175 annually. For the future, reusable signs are being purchased to remind you of upcoming meetings. The signs will be used at each of the four entrances. Notices will continue to be sent by mail.

Neighborhood Vandalism
In the past, summer months have brought on a rise in neighborhood vandalism. The board advocates zero tolerance to vandalism! We need your help to reinforce this. If you need to report a non-emergency, call the New Castle County Police at 573-2800. If you feel it is an emergency call 911.

Vegetable/Herb Garden Trade
Are you growing vegetables and /or herbs? Would you be willing to trade, share or sell your bounty with your neighbors? If so, we can setup a network to contact each other via e-mail or telephone. Contact Jeanne at jpwwhand3x@msn.com to be part of the garden trade directory!

Appoquin Farms Block Party!
Some of our neighbors have expressed great interest in having an Appoquin Farms Community Block Party in the commons area adjacent to the playground and tennis courts. We can have games, races and contests to suit children and adults.
Think you are a Great Grillmaster? How about an ?“Appoquin Farms Grill Off?” cooking contest, featuring burgers, hot dogs and sausages?

The end of June 6/27 might be the best date. School would be out, our college bound students still be home, most vacations have not started and the weather hopefully will not be too hot. Because of the short time between now and the date, a planning committee and your ideas are needed to get this together. We need to figure out a price (perhaps $10-$12) per family for a very simple menu, hot dogs, sausages, burgers, rolls, grilled beans and condiments. Each family can provide anything else they might like to have. RSVP no later than Saturday, May 09.

We need neighbors from Appoquin Farms II, The Landing, Rte 299 and Appoquin Farms E & W. If you want to participate send your e-mails.
