Neighbors and community members came together to build a sandbag dike running north-south along the drainage ditch behind our development and along the river in our neighboring developments. Because the Weather Service raised the expected crest forecast several times, these dikes saw a return of sandbaggers many times! Sandbaggers worked in snow, mud, ice, water, and through a snowstorm.
