May I inquire as to how, and to whom I may apply for the HOA President? 

 

I think that I can be someone who can and will effectively communicate with all of the residents of this community.  Someone with whom you can have respect for, that will get respect from others and is able to get to know the communities wants and needs. 

Someone who can enforce the covenants, but in the same token use common sense and talk to others about a situation before accusing and/or issuing violations. 

It would also be nice to have more community involvement such as a picnic or cookout so that you can get to know your neighbors and especially a community watch program in place.

It is important for all of us to have a say and to be able to communicate to others in a manner so that all can understand and know that the HOA is there working for them not against them.

The reason that HOA's were put in place was so that property values could be kept at a higher value and not have to worry about someone having 5 cars hiding in the tall grass in the front lawn etc. 

If there is anyone else out there who would fit the bill, please feel free to go for it as well.  

I know that this will be a full time job, but it may end up being well worth the effort.  I was always told that if you have ideas about a situation, you should be the first one to offer the help or do it yourself.

You have my vote Julie!  Please contact the others on the board to get more info as to how you go about this.  We need someone to get this community working TOGETHER.  I love your idea of a community cookout and watch program!!

Check with the other board members.  Let's get this ball rolling!!

Julie,

 Just to let you know. All you need to do is turn your name in that you want to run for the Board. In October At the annual meeting they will let the floor know who is nominated then a vote will be taking. The positions are not done by President ,treasurer and ETC. When the voting is done and a new member is voted in then the board members decide what positions they would like to do.

For example: 2 board positions in Oct. are open. 3 members still remaining. A total of 5 board members. When the new members are voted in then all 5 board members discuss it and decide who will do what. The secretary might decide she wants to do something different for the following year and so may the VP/ grounds or the Treasurer.
