ABQ Recycle

Everyone received this letter in the mail.

Dear Valued Customer,

Congratulations! Your neighborhood has been selected to participate in the City of Albuquerque's Cart Based Curbside Recycling Program!  During the weeks of March 12th through March 30th blue recycling carts will be delivered to every home in your neighborhood.

Mayor Richard J. Berry has signed an agreement with Friedman Recycling helping to make curbside, cart based recycling a reality.  Not only will the City make it easy for you to recycle, the number of acceptable materials will also increase.

Along with the blue recycle cart, you will receive information on proper placement and specifics on what and how to recycle.  Upon receipt, you may begin using your City issued blue recycle cart on your next trash day.  Please note that after you receive your cart, recycle bag service will no longer be available in your area.  The only recycling that will be picked up in this pilot area are those households that use a City issued blue recycle cart.

For questions about recycling call 311 or visit  www.cabq.gov/solidwaste.

Sincerely,

Jill Holbert
