Alta Vista Neighborhood Association

NRC Conference

Posted in: Alta Vista
Nice conference, lots of nice people that dress nice, talk nice and even smell nice. Didn't like me walking around with my (Beacon Hill) Neighborhood ''Indicator'', though. (Bet she *really* would have freaked if I had brought a couple of the syringes like what I found in my alley a couple weeks ago.)

Got a chance to see our good friend State Representative Michael Villareal in person, as it has been some while since he has attended a Neighborhood Association Meeting. He earned himself a solid ''C-'' for his presentation to a group of Neighborhood Leaders.

His Neighborhood Issue was that there were going to be about 50 vacancies in the State Legislsature, which implies that maybe our Neighborhood friendly State Representative might ''move up'' in the heirarchy.

His compadre, Jose Menendez earned a well-deserved grade of ''F'' however, for spending virtually the entire hour talking about that very important Neighborhood Issue; The Rising Cost of Pharmaceuticals.

Hey, you forgot...

Hey, you forgot the guy that earned the ''F-''. I can see why since he wasn't really a ''presenter'', rather he was just the schmuck doing the job of sitting in the chair next to the tw o State Representatives. (I guess it was the chair that Trey Martinez Fischir didn't think was importantant enough to occupy.)

Yep, Dr. Heywood (''Woody'' to his friends and his right hand) Sanders gets the ''F-'' for asking the audience of Neighborhood Leaders to hold all questions until ''the end'', allowing the well-groomed and senslessly verbose State Representative drone-on endlessly about a non-Neighborhood Issue and then allowing time for only one question to be asked.

And of course it was Menendez that answered it, and at length and the answer was even more about The Rising Cost of Pharmaceuticals, (even though the question didn't have much to do with pharmaceuticals).

If Menendez wants to talk about drugs, well hell, let him talk about the cheap and always available Beacon Hill Narcotics. Michael did better than him, by saying (virtually) nothing at all.

Suppress That Speech !

It's clear to me that the previous author is in violation of our Community Standards. Look at that coded language, the intended meaning of the letter ''F'' isn't merely to imply that the State Representative's performance was substandard, no, no no. It is clear to this reader that the ''F'' is intended to mean something much more nefarious, something that will undermine our culture and our way of life. God help us if Ossama Bin Laudin ever discovers the great untapped and evil power of the ''F'' word. God help us all.
