8th Council District Neighborhoods

The Dept is conducting regional workshops on "The Plan" for Neighborhood Councils. The workshops are to be held March 9 -July 9, 2000. Workshops for West Adams-Baldwin Hills-Leimert Area, South Los Angeles area will be held April 5 at Crenshaw Christian Center, 7901 S. Vermont Ave., 6:30-8:30 pm. We definitely need to attend this workshop. What will our role be -- how will we be recognized as a neighborhood council in this new department? We as residents cannot ignore -- even though they have ignored our council -- this chartered department. We must be included in the process to establish our council.
