My gardener tells me coyotes have been chewing my drip
sprinkler systems that water my native plants. I live on a canyon with
finger canyons connecting in the Hillcrest area. This is a problem in
Mission Hills as well, though my friends on canyons in other parts of the city
do not report this issue.
Is there some deterrent (spray, cayenne or???) that can be
applied to the drippers and hoses. Coyotes chew them to get water they
need to live. I am contacting the Natural History Museum and the Central
Library reference, but have not answers as yet.
If you do not know, shall I try the Master Gardener
program? Any other sources?
Thank you,
Paula Stober
