Dear Community Members,

Welcome to another issue of the community council newsletter. First, I would like to begin with wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year. I am extremely delighted to be working in an area where the police and the community work so well toegether. I am pleased to report that we have finished the year 2006 with 9.9 percent decrease in all major crime categories. This is onl achieved with the cooperation and support of the community, religious leaders, elected officals and the members of 112 Precinct. I look forward to continuing these reductioins in crime.
the NEw York Cares coat drive during the month of December was a hugh success. I would like to express my gratitude for all the participants in the commiunity who donated coats to the needy.
At the Community Council holiday party we recognized and honored Police Office Cave Valovage my community affairs officer who retired at the end of December. His accomplishmnets and service to the community was recognized by the local elected officials, CB6, Religious leaders alocal community members. HE will be dearly missed by everyone. We wish him a healthy and happy retirement. I would also like to welcome , Police Officer Gigio Redzematovic and Police Officer James Smith as my new Community Affairs team. As always, if you have questions or problems you can call my community affairs officers at 718 520-9321.
Sincerely yours, Richard Napolitano- Captain
