TREASURE ISLAND KINGFEST
Saturday, April 20, 2013, 11am to 9pm, Treasure Island Community Center, 1 Park Place & 106th Avenue. See 10 top artists compete in the Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Preliminary round 11am, final round with the EAS Band at 3pm. Showcase at 7pm with finalists, "Reba," and the EAS Band. Tickets $10 - $15 per round, showcase seating $15 - $20. BIKINI BLUES BASH
Saturday, April 27, 2013, Noon to 10pm, on the beach at 104th & Gulf Boulevard, Treasure Island. Rhythm and blues legend Latimore headlines the bash this year at 8:45pm. Featured performers include local blues stars Billy Seward and Soulfonic featuring Betty Padgett at 7:15pm, Sarasota Slim at 5:45pm, Ellie Lee & Bluesfury at 4:15pm, Steve Arvey at 2:45pm, Charlie Morris at 1:45pm and the 18-piece Tomkats Jazz Orchestra at 11:30am.
