Where did I come from?

I was born in 1941 in Chicago Illinois and came to Arizona in 1946 with my family , and attended school in Phoenix until 1959 when I left to go work in the Lettuce fields in California.

Who am I now?

I am 58 yrs old and married to the same man for 28 years. I attended school in Phoenix and left for California in 1959 and returned here in !970.
I have lived in Tucson since 1970, when I returned to Arizona from California where I worked in the lettuce fields picking, packing, thinning,and planting during the ''Bracero'' years of the 60's.


I am the Chair of West Ochoa Neighborhood Association.

I am on several community commitees on the South side of the City including 1 of 22 co-chairs of SNAPP (Southside Neighborhood Association Presidential Partnership.)

I enjoy being involved in my community and trying to make it a safer and better place to live.

Our Neighborhood Meetings

Our monthly meetings are held every 1st. Monday at Sam Lena Library in South Tucson and we formed because of a DRUG HOUSE next door to me.

We will always have one of our beat officers at our meetings for questions and a crime report.
