A Miller Neighbor

I moved to Oklahoma City in 1960 from Cement, Oklahoma, where I had been teaching in the High School, and was working for McDowell Cap and Gown Company. I tired of paying rent and living in an apartment so began looking for a place that I could afford to call my own. I found it here in the Miller Neighborhood where I felt secure and at home. I then left the business world and resumed teaching, this time in Edmond where I retired in 1982.

Miller Neighborhood Association

The Association was formed about that time and since I had more time and wanted to know my neighbors better, I became involved. This was one of the better things that I have done because I have made so many good friends here, and, at the same time felt that I was making a difference.
