Myers Neighborhood Picnic

Every year the Myers Neighborhood gets together and has a picnic just before we break for summer.

This is a perfect oportunity for everyone to get together and just relax.

Street Lights For Myers

At this particular picnic we also voted on weather or not we should write a proposal for Pima Co Grant money for street lights in part of our neighborhood.

I am happy to report we voted in favor, applied and recieved the grant.

Street lights are scheduled to be installed in March 2009.

Walking Path For Freedom Park

We are currently working on getting funding for a walking path at Freedom Park.

We have a lovely Park and Community Center but lack any type of walking path for us to enjoy it.

We have applied for and recieved a grant from Drachman Institute. They have provided us with a wonderful design and portfolio to present to Tucson Park and Recreation.

We are now in the process of meeting with them and discussing how we will fund such a project.
