Living the Leisurely Life...

...is not what we do around here! I'm a high school English teacher and my husband is in personal finance. The dogs take the leisure life seriously, however. Rarely a day goes by that Holley is not standing guard on the balcony and Sugar is sunning herself a few feet away.

Container Gardening

One of our hobbies is container gardening. We don't have a lot of room and we enjoy our open balcony space, but we try to maximize our limited area. Some inexpensive bookshelves from Big Lots allow us to have multi-levels of small pots without the clutter. Now, if only we could stop those squirrels from digging up my bulbs!

Waterfowl Maintenence

One of my favorite neighbors is also known as The Duck Lady, by both golfers and TotP residents. She and her significant other are dedicated to keeping the ducks - all four varieties - well-fed, safe, and socialized. Before you throw out your week-old bread, stop by the East End of the community and throw it out under the tree for our ducks!
