Steven M. Lewis has been working in the software development field since the early 1970’s. He had a PhD in biophysics and taught bioengineering at USC for 13 years.

He worked in the software development field for the past twenty years concentrating on scientific software.  He has been a paraplegic since being injured in an airplane crash.  Since then he has continued to word as a software developer in the area of Bioinformatics. In addition he has worked to aid the disability community working as president of the Board of the Alliance of People with DisAbilities, Co-Chair of  the Seattle Disability Commission a member of the SeaTac disability advisory board and the Sound Transit disability advisory board
