I'm just voicing an obvious fact, placing decals on our vehicles is just inviting people to come to our neighborhood and commit roberies. People will know we live in here just by recognizing the little emblem. If you want to keep the crime rate down in this neighborhood, decals just aren't the way to do it. It's not like a lot of people are going to fill out the form anyway. It's just another waste of time. It is also a waste of money on the association's part. Besides those two facts, I should not have to display a decal in my window of my car to park in my garage or driveway. This is one of the worst idea's this association has ever had. I don't know how this even passed in the first place. Think this through and reply if you want to.

So let me understand this, you are saying that it is a FACT that if residents have decals on their cars, crime WILL INCREASE in our neighborhood?
Have you studied the use of decals in gated communities? Could you elaborate?

I believe that it is obvious that you don't like this idea, and you believe it is a waste of time and money. I understand that you think this is ''one of the worst idea's this association has ever had.''
I don't believe this idea is designed to address crime in our community directly. It's only an effort to identify non-resident automobiles while inside our community.

I can only assume that you believe you will be identified as a LANTERN KEY RESIDENT, and could be the victim of crime(theft, assault, murder) one day because of this.
I personally have never actually focused on your viewpoints, and I can only assume that your beliefs were not discussed amongst the HOA board members when they decided to pass this.
I think you should run for the board next year... I would be willing to bet that you would probably have many great ideas for substantial improvements to our already great community.
