Money, Money, Money

or the lack of it.....

Your Board of Directors want to make some major changes to Windermere. Changes we all have been looking forward to for years. These changes include pressure cleaning the buildings, increasing the lighting, securing the laundry and electrical rooms, adding crime deterant measures, painting of the buildings and much, much more. The problem the board has is a gross lack of funds. Due to the fact that 40% of the owners are past due on their maintenance - we do not have the funds to perform these services.

Options

We are currently getting bids for the work needed and plan to prioritize and schedule these improvements. But wrok can not begin until we have the funds to pay for it. Our options are:A) those past due immediately begin working with executive One to bring their balance up to date B) We ratify a special assessment. WE are working hard to avoid a special assesssment since it will be the owner who are diligently making their maintenance that will end up carrying the burden of the assessment. And quite honestly - no one in this current economic atmosphere can afford an assessment.
