City of Phoenix Historic Rehab Grants Available

The City of Phoenix's exterior rehabilitation/conservation easement purchase program was created to encourage the rehab of historic buildings and neighborhoods. The program offers to purchase an easement on your property for 20 years. The purchase price will be between $2,000 and $10,000 which is provided for matching funds to repair, improve, reconstruct, maintain, or enhance the EXTERIOR of your home.

Eligible improvements include: exterior walls, roofs, windows, doors, siding surface treatment, carports, trim, decorative elements, masonry repainting, porches and steps, historic out-buildings, cornices, and reversal of inappropriate alterations.

Non-eligible improvements include: additions to buildings and new construction, landscaping, and fencing. Painting is not included unless the painting is a component of an eligible repair.
