Presidents Report

Congratulations to Pete Cavanagh on being elected to the Springfield Park Board. Pete will be a great assett to the community in preserving and improving the parks in Springfield.

Due to Pete's new position on the Park Board, he has submitted his resignation as President of the Association but he will remain an active supporter and keep the association informed with respect to issues involving Washington Park.

The Association's officers include a President, a Vice-President and a Secretary-treasurer. The current elected officers have filled these positions and will continue until the next election.

In addition to the officers, the President is required to appoint a Board of Directors consisting of five members. If anyone is interested in serving as a director, please let me know.

The newest addition to the Association is the website in which this newsletter is being published. I am still in the process of entering the Association's history and general information. I would encourage all members to add a family page to the site. If you need help, please let me know.
