VILLAS OF COBBLESTONE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

N E W S L E T T E R

SPRING IS HERE!

Spring is here, and it is wonderful to see everyone?’s pretty green lawns and newly planted flowers. Thank you all for doing your part to make our neighborhood a place we can all be proud of!
Special thanks (again) to Elaine Bedell and Heather Burford, for working so hard on our cul-de-sacs. They are so pretty and we appreciate your special efforts to plant, mulch and water these flowers for the whole neighborhood to enjoy. Now, let?’s all pitch in by NOT parking in front of the cul-de-sacs! We want to see the pretty flowers, (not your old jalopy) when we drive into the neighborhood!

LOTS OF NEW PAINT!

It is nice to see so many homes being painted and having aluminum siding installed. These efforts greatly improve the overall look of the neighborhood. Please remember that we need to try as hard as we can to match our neighbor?’s paint. So far, no one has varied from the color scheme and that is good. According to our Covenants and Restrictions, houses MUST remain the original color. (This INCLUDES Garage Doors)

SPRING CLEANING.......

Elaine Bedell, our Landscape & Beautification Chair, has requested that we have another clean-up effort soon. We will discuss this at our next meeting.

FREE CREPE MYRTLES

Anyone interested in planting a Crepe Myrtle Tree is welcome to call Elaine Bedell at 565-0056. Elaine managed to obtain 18 crepe Myrtles at the Mayor?’s Tree Giveaway. These are ?“seedlings?” and are about 18?” tall.

NEXT MEETING - THURSDAY MAY 17

The next neighborhood meeting will be Thursday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Police Sub-station at Regency Mall. For info, call Trisha Gercken 646-1839. We will be discussing the upcoming Mayor?’s Neighborhood Matching Grant! This is very important and we need everyone?’s input! The deadline for turning in the application is June 29. We MUST include what we plan to do with the funds (if received) and we need volunteers to do the work. Please, if you have ideas for neighborhood improvements, come to our meeting and have a voice in this exciting venture!

NEW NEIGHBORS

We have many newcomers in the neighborhood, and we cordially invite all of you to attend our meeting. If you have any questions concerning our association, please call Trisha Gercken at 646-1839.

SPECIAL THANKS TO Arland Eyl and Jody Kirkland for installing our ?“No Soliciting?” signs! They look great and have been working! Great Job!
