They're Back

Sylvie and Suitor, our resident gators, are back in the Susie Eades pond now (See attached photos compliments of Pat Lindsey.).  They are small, about 4 ft. in length, and essentially harmless, but please honor their space and do not taunt or try to feed them.  If you want to see the pair, on sunny days now they often will be basking on the stump of the cedar tree that is down in the edge of the water at the southeast corner of the pond.  Since gators are most active in the spring, the coming weeks will be a good time to check them out.

(Caution:  It is not advisable to walk your pets off-leash around the pond since one of an alligator’s favorite dishes is Filet of Poodle!)
