I'm just wondering, if what I have been experiencing is isolated, or the norm.

We installed a patio and fence, not realizing that it needed prior approval. Once we learned that it did we attempted to get the proper forms to get the approval. That took 2 months. (I see they are now, on this website, which will help a great deal.)

We completed our forms, included pictures, since it was already complete, and sent it certified mail to property management at their new address. I then received a letter from Patty G. about getting approval or removing the patio etc. I called and emailed her a total of 5 times, with out a response just trying to confirm that she received the packet.

Today I was informed by her assistant, that she never got it. Now I have to start all over again, isn't there a better way?

Update

I spoke with Patty G. today, and she informed me that she had some difficulties in e-mailing me, but had tried several times. She also was very helpful in working out a quick fix to the situation, by my getting duplicates to the board meeting on Monday.

I'm just hoping that mine was an isolated incident, but if not does anyone have any suggestions on how we can make the process a little smoother?
