Whatever happened with the Neighborhood Watch program? I own property in the Sunbeam area and I would like to know that the area is safe for people and property.
Has anyone thought of sending flyers home with the children the school could hand them out as "Go Home Info" The flyers could be slanted toward the safety of the children and their familys. Something like HELP US KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE GOING TO SCHOOL AND IN THIER OWN NEIGHBORHOOD We CAN do it but we need your help
Something like that you can turn the patrol into volksmarches walking for exercise, maybe have 2 patrols one right after dinner and one in the early evening. Invite others to help from neighborhoods that are close by. Turn it all into a big East side Sector Crime Watch.
Where I live a neighboring area needed to take back the night from the druggies and the whores (can you write that?) It took months! of nightly walking to discourage the unwanted behavior. That area is now free of the drug and prostitution problem and that was about 8 years ago. It can be done Neighborhoods can be taken back and made safe.
