DIRECTOR?’S CORNER:
The Board of Director?’s has approved the new budget for 2003. Although the new budget involved an increase in the dues to $42.00 per month, (effective June 1, 2003) Stonecreek HOA continues to have one of the lowest association dues in the area for the amenities offered. This increase has become necessary due to rising expenses, both from aging assets as well as maturing landscaping.

A NEED FOR CHANGE
Sometime over the next couple of months, the front entrance to Stonecreek at Val Vista and Juniper will be changed. It has become necessary to replace a block wall behind the water feature which will require the removal of at least three large pine trees. Your patience and understanding with the completion of this task are appreciated. For more information, please do not hesitate to Call Nancy Borg at Borg Property Services.

WHAT?’S YOUR GFR?
You've seen the ads-the ones on TV where happy people are announcing to complete strangers that they've lowered their cholesterol. But I wonder if you can remember when cholesterol wasn't a household word..

GFR is a measurement used to determine kidney function. It stands for glomerular filtration rate, and is represented by a number. With a very simple, inexpensive test, your doctor can tell you what your number is. Depending on factors such as age, ethnicity and gender, your GFR can indicate a need to pay better attention to the health and well being of your kidneys. Since kidney disease now affects more than 40 million Americans, it's time for GFR to become a household word. So, what's YOUR GFR?
