FORWARDED FROM A FELLOW NEIGHBOR
I had a strange man come to my door on Sunday Feb. 9,2010 at 1pm.. My 14yr daughter answered the door. He asked her several questions, before asking if she had a parent home with her. When I approached the door he gave me three different stories about why he was at my door. 1) wanted to buy my house 2) His wife was interested in the schools in our neighborhood and 3) he is a minister and followed my daughter and I home to ask what church we attended.
Right away I felt unease by him. At one point he even asked to come in. I Finally got him to leave, and I called the police once he left.
This male is black
about 5 feet 7 to 8 inches
He was wearing a Blue pin striped suit with a red white and blue tie.
He wore glasses with a silver wire frame, and his eyes are brown
He was well spoken
He was driving a small mint green sport utility's vehicle that had an uncovered tire on back with Florida tags. He parked facing the stop sign on my street behind my truck so I was unable to get his tag.
I want to share this for two reasons. 1) I don't know this man, or what his intention were.
2) I want to make sure that our neighborhood parents go over safety tips with their children. Please make sure that your children know that they shouldn't answer the door for strangers even though parents are home.
