Just want to let you all know my yard at 4203 Snowy Egret Trail has been eaten by wild boars. (about 1third of the yard)  My neighbor to my right caught them on tape. I have seem kids and some families walk back in the reserve wooded area. Please be careful. If anyone knows how to get rid of them please let me know.

I'm at 4215 Snowy Egret, my neighbor as well has had half of his yard torn up by the wild boars. Also, about 50 Yds behind my property line there is an area about 50x75 yds all dug up as well. From what i have seen, i feel it may have something to do with whatever lawns are being treated with? There was a distinct line between properties where the boars stuck too? After calling animal control, we learned there is nothing they can do unless they are actually caught. Unfortunately, i have no idea how to do that. As a parent of small children, something we definitely want to keep an eye on!

It truly saddens me that nothing has been done about this boar problem. Countless time my front yard has been under attack by those animals. More receintly Thanksgiving morning and this morning. My entire front yard has been destroyed, and I'm sure my back yard would be too if not for having a fence. I've reached out to every person that I know of that should be able to aid in resolving ridding the boars. It amazes me that what should be looked at as a community problem, such as the ponds, parking, and landscaping is only being viewed as a personal owner problems. I have attended every HOA meeting and voted for all of the community affairs that didn't necessarily effect my back yard or quality of live but was need for another neighbors pieceof mind. NONE of which may I point out caused any phiscal threat to anyone. I have seem the damage in other yards, as many as six other yards. How can we justify as a community wild dangerous animals running around our families and homes  jeopardising our safety, quality of life and value of our homes. It truly saddens me!

From the "Florida Hog Hunting Guide"

Florida has no closed season on hog hunting. You can hunt hogs all year long. As long as you have the land owner's permission you're okay. There is no hunting license required to hunt hogs in Florida either. In addition there are no size or bag limits on feral hogs in Florida.

You can also hunt hogs at night in Florida using hog lights. And you can trap hogs too. You can either buy a hog trap or build your own.

If no one heard the other night, one of our neighbors took it upon himself to save what was left of his lawn and sat out and waited for them. I heard a couple shots, dont know if he was successful or not. Luckily i have a fence in my backyard, and I dont even think the worms appreciate my front lawn never mind the hogs, but id be more than happy to help out who ever wants to hunt some down.
