Roosters?

A rooster or multiple roosters are and will remain a public nuisance until the issue is controlled. In a moderately populated area, such as ours, they certainly do not add additional character to the neighborhood. 

That being said, neighbors looking out for other neighbors, local law enforcement, security systems and dogs protect us from prowlers, not roosters. So, I am failing to see the connection that a rooster will protect me from said "lurkers." If those are an issue maybe we should all take a stand against the crime that happens all around us. 

Children taking to the streets to play is a HUGE concern. We should all be mindful of our speed and encouraging our children to be mindful of the traffic and of basic safety. It can be remidied easily. 

There are way more serious crimes to worry about than someone having a pet rooster, and yes the remedy is for parents to watch their kids and not expect the public to have to, that is a nuisance.
