Braden Park: What to do with overflow parking?

Posted in: Braden Park

I just received the Braden Park newletter for Fall, 2009.  The last bit of information concerned the parking lot next to the swimming pool.  The newsletter reminded us that this parking lot was not for overflow parking.  I would like to bring up a discussion on using the parking lot just for that reason--as overflow for visiting relatives during this holiday season or for other special occasions.  Doesn't it make more sense to park extra cars in that parking lot instead of further narrowing our already quite narrow streets in our neighborhood?  Some years ago when we held a family wedding reception at our house, we had our guests park in that lot and we shuttled them to our home.  Therefore, our neighbors were spared the inconvenience of trying to safely back out of their homes without hitting any cars.  Also, I felt that the children were safer--it is difficult to see young chidren bike riding where parked cars might hide their activity.  Could I please address the Braden Park HOA board and our neighbors about the possibility of adding this additional use of our community parking lot?
