We live on Basalt Street, several cars in our neighborhood were broken into(including ours)  in the middle of the night... on Tues Nov. 11th.  Just FYI for you to keep valuable stuff out of your car.. NCC police stated they has "several calls" from our neighborhood.

This is very unfortunate.  I see strange people driving around the development at night time.  Maybe the association will consider some kind of secuirty service to offer some peace of mind to the homeowners.  Or allow us to extend our fences so that our dogs could roam up closer to the vehicles. A few weeks ago I saw an black Acura sitting across the street with the lights out in from of the stop sign at basalt and olivine midway through the house with the black picket fence (right around your area) kept walking closer to get a look and the guy drove away without turning on his head lights.  Felt absolutely helpless.

Hate to imagine that I would have to take my evening walks with a taser gun

It is unfortunate that your car was broken into! Hopefully nothing was damaged and nothing of great value was taken.
